Oh the eyes that gaze on me, They stare and stare and do not see. Oft picture of love, but it's arms cannot hold, Oft picture of warmth, but so hardened and cold. Statues of wood, of stone and of sod, My heart finds no peace, In the eyes of a sightless God. This is a picture of a relief on the side of the Christ Our Savior Cathedral in Moscow.
