Sometimes I feel like I trap myself in unrealistic expectations and blame it on circumstances, shortcomings, or other people; however, the reality is that my own perfectionism is what causes me to be trapped in a cycle of self-doubt and second-guesses. That's what this portrait is about. Self-portrait for my Drawing 1 class. Not too happy with the hands or the proportion of the legs, but I think the face/shirt/feet turned out well. And yes, I really did this pose for the photo reference.
