Torre Paola is a tower defense placed on the promontory of Circeo on the border with the long beach of Sabaudia. It was erected in 1563 by Pope Pius IV (1559-1565) at the hands of the lords of Sermoneta and San Felice Circeo to counteract the continuous pirate raids, completing a defensive system against the Saracens. Again a homage to all of you.
