Another photo from the Halifax Public Gardens. This is one of the fountains located there. This particular one was installed back in 1903. Written on the plaque was the following information: "Erected by the commissioners of the Public Gardens in commemoration of the services of our citizen soldiers in the South African Campaign 1899-1902."
