This wooden sculpture comes to you courtesy of dutch elm disease. To reduce the ravages of the disease, many of the mighty elm trees that once graced the streets of town were reduced to mere stumps. Looking for something to do with the surplus of largish logs on hand and in an effort to 'beautify' the landscape, an artist or two were hired to create what one would hope is art at best or a pile of wood shavings at worst. These eagles are one such effort.
