King Wilhelm I of Wurttemburg had the castle atop this hill demolished when his wife, Queen Katharina of Russia, died at the age of 31. He had this beautiful chapel built as her final resting place. They are both buried here with their daughter, Princess Marie. The Russian Orthodox Congregation still holds services here once a year. Another view of the chapel is available here.
