2010 / Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan. The US Air Force sent me to Kandahar from Dec 2009 to Jul 2010. I'm a logistician by trade and on/off-load cargo and personnel on a wide variety of US and foreign nation aircraft. The aircraft pictured here is a C-17 Globemaster III. In my opinion, the finest and most versatile US transport aircraft. The sunsets silhouetted the parked aircraft perfectly.
