Before we leave the park and the gators to do their business, I thought I would share a picture taken the same day in December 2013 of the only rapids in the Hillsborough river. It may not appear much to most, but the majority of the river is placid for its 54 mile stretch. Me and my mom hiked to this location about 10 years earlier.
