This is one of the first things i saw when i walked into the awesome streets of Pompeii. Whist there i was stuck by this most amazing and historic of places. As you walk around you can literally hear the clattering of horses hooves and chariot wheels on the cobbles where the groves are still visible; still hear the street sellers shouting thier wares. It echoes with the voices of the people who lived there and always in the background is that forbidding presence of Vesivuis that ended thier world so suddenly.
