Ahhh, continuing on our little journey here we have a Common Crow (Euploea modesta) from Southeast Asia. There are many butterflies that are considered distasteful, more than a few of these are in the subfamily Danainae. The common crow is no exception, storing bitter chemicals from the plants it eats as a caterpillar. It is common throughout Southeast Asia, and frequents hilltops and streambeds.
