---As I have lost the weight and am working on a better physical state, I am also working on a better mental frame of mind as well...

My life as a youth wasn't all that great at times, and even though I enjoyed quite a few privileges that helped mold my creative spirit and artistic abilities - it came at a price, often a painful one - at the hands of the very people I looked up to...

I am not going to get into any of it, but there are times that when I smile and hold my head up high, I look into the mirror and it is my eyes that say something else, to be sure...

I often recognize it in others that do the same as I, and do not question it, as some of us have different ways of dealing with pain and trauma we did not ask for - yet still advance through life - the best we can...

It's not always easy, but we are strong as a result, and continue to be strong - as it should be...

After all, we weren't placed upon Spaceship Earth to fail! :D
