--- The Cars were a nu wave/rock band from out of Boston, MA, with their debut 1978 album (The Cars) managing to stay on the Billboard 200 chart for 139 weeks... I was a junior in high school then, and remember at least half the album being beat to death on the airwaves...Also, myself and many of my friends had the album either in dusty (LP) or cassette, and you'd always hear something from it cranked at parties, clubs, arcades, amusement parks, public pools, car audio, etc...
