I took my kids on a day trip to the DC zZoo this summer hoping we would see tons of cool animals. Well, we must have gone on the wrong day or something because almost everything was closed. This was my highlight of the trip... the turtle pit. Not the fact that it was loaded with hundreds of turtles, but the 2 lone flowers.
