New Zealand Fur Seals basking at the breeding colony, Tauranga Bay, Cape Foulwind, Westland. Pups are born late November and the females live at the same colony all their lives. Despite the name given to the area by Captain Cook in 1770 when he struck particularly foul weather, the Cape is a great place to visit, and the antics of the seals provide hours of entertainment.Thank you for viewing :) Any comments, advice etc always welcome.
