I chose this bee especially for this shot from the many that were humingly buzzing about late one afternoon in the beautiful garden of a place I was staying in the summer. It seemed a pretty nice specimen so I told it if it posed nicely it may even get on a desktop one day. I think it was not a very bright buzzer as it posed upside down! It had a wonderful selection of flowers to chose from - roses, and lilies but it chose this dahlia - weatherbeaten, and bit bedraggled.I was endeared to this little bee for recognising that although past its prime the flower still had its uses :) The resulting poor photo has languished in my Failure File for many months so I though I would tidy it up a bit. (You can see the Original Here ) I have kept my promise to the bee, and it has been on my desktop for a couple of days. I think it needs a change of scenery now, any offers? . . .
