Our lavender has flourished this summer and we have had more than usual of these colourful butterflies which seem to enjoy it.
Unfortunately our 2 cats have developed an liking for catching butterflies. They bring them home as trophies apparently completely unharmed, but once inside the gentleness is gone. Most times I am able to free them.
Canon 450D with the wrong lens attached. I had the 75-300 trying to zoom in on the unseasonal snow that appeared on our mountains a few days ago when I spied the (so far uncaught) butterfly.
