Paeonies in my garden.This same plant has flowered year after year for at least 38 years.It came with the house :)
Paeonies have been cultivated from more than 2000 years.
The name derives from the Greek word 'Paeon’, a student of Asclepius, the Greek god of medicine and healing,who became jealous of his pupil. Zeus saved him from Asclepius's anger by turning him into a flower.
