Laie Hawaii Temple is a temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a stop on our bus trip around the island of Oahu.
It was built in 1919 on land dedicated by Joseph F Smith, a nephew of the Church's founder and a President of the Church. He requested it to resemble Solomons Temple as described in the Bible.
It had major renovations completed in 1976.
The grounds as you can see are immaculate. We were welcomed inside and offered a drink of fruit juice. What we saw of the interior was very beautiful. Non-Mormons are not permitted into the inner temple areas.
My entry for the Religious contest.
