One of 5 carved Macrocarpa tree stumps featuring NZ Native birds and lizards. They are the work of a talented 70 year old who had no trouble climbing very high stumps. You can read a bit more about it HERE.
The silvery bark is silky smooth and on Sunday when I took this photo it was warm to the touch.
