High on the clifftop,red-billed gulls (Chroicocephalus novaehollandiae scopulinus),taking a break. These are New Zealand Natives and are a declining species.
In my town they have become somewhat of a pest,nesting on roofs in the middle of town,especially where food is about.Squawking and scavenging and doing what seagulls do, everywhere. It is illegal to move them once nests are formed which is from October to December.
Maybe these ones were contemplating their next supermarket attack :)
