No sign of any wave surges or tsunamis that occupied the thoughts of us all in New Zealand yesterday. We are too far south to have felt the quakes and although there was a coastal warning for the whole country we were not in one of the danger zones. If you are interested you you can read a bit about the events HERE. I don't want another one like that ! This photo was taken with my phone when the alert was lifted. It is a high cliff I was on, I still would have not gone down on the beach !. You may be able to see 3 little dots in the water - they are optimistic surfers. They did manage to catch a few little waves. Would have been safer to keep out of the water.
