I was joined on my garden walk by some ducks and geese. You may notice the small round sign on the left with 10 on it. This is not the speed limit for the feathered friends or walking humans, but for cyclists. Our 306 kilometre "Alps 2 Ocean" Cycle trail has a small section that runs through the gardens, before reaching the journey's end at the harbour. It begins near Aoraki Mount Cook, high in the Southern Alps.
