This is a zuchinni flower (or Courgette if you prefer). They are delicious stuffed with cheese and herbs etc and then lightly battered and fried. I have eaten them but never prepared them myself. I prefer the actual fruit, used like a vegetable. My favourite is zuchinni fritters stacked with rashers of crispy bacon between them :)
