This sunflower was in a different field to the post I made yesterday and I was able to get closer. This one is taken with the camera using the 60mm macro lens.
When young, sunflowers follow the sun (heliotropism) but as they mature and the stems are less pliable they always end up facing the east, the direction of the sunrise, so that they warm up more quickly and attract more bees for pollination.
