This is a genuine wagon belonging in our historic precinct and it was used as a prop by Netflix for their film set for John Steinbeck's East Of Eden a few weeks ago. 600 people, stars and staff in our town, plus 8 beautiful horses. For 10 days we watched the area transformed into the wild west as the American flag was flown. The producer of the original movie was Elia Kazan in 1955. One of the executive producers of this version is his granddaughter Zoe. They have moved on to other parts of New Zealand now. The whole crew were very popular, welcomed visitors, and in turn enjoyed the local hospitality.
