I captured these barrels in the old Victorian part of our town when Netflix was here filming East of Eden. They were props that were sourced from the area. I think the sign on the door is new but it is the rear of an original grain store. I like the contrast of the curved barrels with the oblong blocks of local stone the building is made from. The blocks are a type of limestone which has been quarried here since the 1800s. This example is well weathered. When new it is an ivory colour and still a very popular building material.
