My Friend, Sue, took this picture last month and I insisted it was worthy of sticking up on-line. The fabulous coastal stretch known as Porthleven, in Cornwall, UK. Or somewhere nearby :-) I tried to bring out the impact of the beam of sun striking the ground with some layering and selective darkening and lighting of different areas. The original image was somewhat flat (heavy on the midtones) so I stretched the luminescence histogram to add more punch and contrast. More to come from Sue, definitely of the Carnewas coast.
