We got some fine weather yesterday so I got to try out my extension tubes again in my lunch break.

This ladybird was having a wander around, but stopped still long enough to pose for this shot.

This was taken hand-held in natural light, with the D40 kit lens at 55mm with 35mm of extension - the largest tube on its own. 1/50 @ F14, ISO 200 with -0.7 stops exposure correction.
