The average ground hog has been estimated to move about 5,500 pounds of soil when digging a burrow. Burrows have typically 2-5 entrances to evade predators. Burrows can be up to 46 ft of tunnels and buried down to 5 ft under ground. Causing serious threat to building foundations. So it is true...great things come in small packages.
