I am a city lover and a bushie. I think it's a kind of blindness of misguided romanticism to not see how amazing, beautiful, rich, profound and powerful a human city can be. In the centre of Shanghai is a massive wide open space, People's Square and People's Park, wandering thru I came across this vista, with all the built elements on a monumental scale. I didn't feel dwarfed, I felt lifted, wondered.
