A potential entry for the current contest - "Life and Death". Taken while on a hike a couple winters ago near the river. We happened across a fallen baby Barred Owl. It was the first time I'd ever seen an owl in nature. Another photo will follow tomorrow, hoping to get some suggestions for which to enter in the contest :)
