This image was taken in May of 2013 with a Canon 7D and a 70-300L lens at 166mm. The old tree is just to the west of my house and has been standing there, barren, for years. It had been struck by lightning a long time ago. One day I noticed a flock of crows landing and departing from its scraggly branches. I wanted to get several of the birds in mid-flight coming in for a landing and having them all in focus. This is my best attempt. The ole 7D even nailed the tiny feet of the birdies (see full screen).
