Since there are so many of you who like to see windmills, I post another photo. These two are actually to left left of the one I posted yesterday, so indeed there are three in a row. Can you believe this: a hundred year ago these mill on "higher ground" worked together with at least 6 other mills on "low ground" to mill dry the very place I live in today! Knowing this I always look at them with great respect. They can still operate, even today and are open the the public on some national windmill days. Another mill, situated about a mile further at this very dike is still used to mill grain, buckweet and so on. And I still go there sometines to get some flour for our bread machine, because nothing beats the taste of fresh, warm home baked bread!
