I wasn't going to take the trail to this fall this year, but one of the campers badly wanted to go on a ten mile hike. Despite nearly three dozen ticks and getting rained on, it was a great hike. Oh! And I managed not to step on the rat snake laying across the path. I didn't even see it until Caleb called me snake blinded after I passed it.
