I spotted a monarch and was trying to get a shot in. It paused for a moment near the ground and I got a picture, but not what I was hoping for. It wasn't until I put it up on my large screen display did I realize that I caught a female monarch laying eggs at the base of a milkweed plant. Now I have a picture for science class -- just need to hold a class to show off the picture.
