Yellow is the dominant color here on the plains during the fall and I managed to get out for a nice long walk on the peak day of color. Color typically doesn't last here long because the wind takes the leaves down within a few days. This was taken on Wednesday. We went back out on Friday and most of the trees were threadbare. Oh, and look carefully and you'll find a bonus heron on one of the trees.
