I saw a heron flying across the lake and took several shots before I lost sight of it behind the trees. As I was checking out the pictures, I glanced up and realized the heron had landed about 20 feet from me. I tried to get my camera up quietly and quickly, but it made him nervous. Still, I got one good picture before he left.
