This is a photo of modern apartment houses constructed on the old piers which were meant for freighters carrying general cargo. The piers are no longer in use because of the containerisation of goods.

Those walkways are pontoons floating in the water. Old ships and tugs that are no longer in service are tied up there for tourists to see. One has been converted into a restaurant/bar.

This is real and NOT a miniature :)
