Day two of my NZ trip. Unfortunately I missed out on seeing the glaciers on the west coast as it was bucketing down... not that you'd know it by the time we reached this point further south. Most of the drive was through mountainous rainforest (complete with rain) but there was a brief glimpse of the coast here before heading inland to Queenstown.
