I am quite new to this but thought this shot of my subject's eye and surrounding area was quite lovely. His eye and the expression he has shows a wisdom and kindness and the skin around his eye shows his age (Disclaimer: this is GOOD. Age is GOOD!). Perhaps the smoothness of the iris and the softness and texture of the skin contrast nicely too.
