The Louisiana coastal regions and bayous are rapidly deteriorating because of pollution, hurricanes and government intervention in building levees to stop the natural flow of fresh water. This cypress swamp on Bayou LaBranche fits in that category and our beautiful cypress marshes will soon be no more. All of my photos are hand held. I become paralyzed when trying to use a tripod.
