This tiny Ebony Spleenwort fern sprung to life from the moss that grows in the brickwork mortar in the friary’s foundation. When I captured this image, it was barely larger than a quarter overall. Despite the extreme heat this summer, it flourished to roughly a six-inch diameter plant. All comments and suggestions welcomed – I need your expert eyes and experience to help me grow too!
