It rained today for the first time since my last batch of shots, so I got out and took some more of our flowers enjoying themselves. These little blue jewels are part of a now-wild bunch of ground cover that's been around our place forever. The structure of these little flowers is really cool. The deep little "cup" is made of straight sides arranged in a perfect pentagon, and each straight side is made out of two petals that are set pretty much perpendicular to the cup. Sort of an optical incongruency that really stands out when you look at it in perspective. Took a lot of shots today, so y'all are in for more of my soggy flowers ;-)
