The black-eyed Susan, or yellow daisy, has dark centers and orange-yellow petals. It is found in meadows and open places all over the eastern half of North America. It is the state flower of Maryland. It is the first of them I has seen this year. Seems like things are getting a later start but that just might be my thoughts on the matter. A little texture was added to the image.
