Westerns were are part of my growing up experience. Mom and Dad liked them. I enjoyed them. As a child, we played cowboys even to dressing with toy pistols and toy gunbelts. The pistols would make shooting noises because they were cap guns. A favorite western star was John Wayne. His speech and swagger were imitated all over the place. Here is a minimalistic drawing of him. To those of you who liked John Wayne movies, I hope it brings back fond memories.
