When I was very young, school grades 1-4, we lived in a small town in Ohio. It's name is Bellefontaine, which was pronounced by the folks living there, "Bell-fountain." Every winter the town froze over the low land in the city park for ice skating. There was a log cabin on the property, left by a pioneer family of long ago. The city made it available to us as a place to sit in, away from the cold, to change from our shoes and boots into our ice skates.

This log cabin is not that log cabin. This one is located in downtown Mt Sterling, Kentucky. This log cabin did however bring back those childhood memories of lacing up and falling down, and other joys of childhood past.

And since nostalgic memories of past joys found their way into present thought, I wish to include this song from one of my favorite bands, though the song has not much to do with my picture.

Ginger Baker passed away today. Thank you for the musical joys you gave us all, and may you rest in peace.
