These magnificent lenses can be seen at the top of the 41 Metres high lighthouse at Portland Bill Weymouth , the lenses are fixed and the 1 KW lamp revolves around them creating 635,000 Candela, the light can be seen clearly 25 nautical miles away, the Lighthouse was manned up until 1996 and was sadly automated and now controlled at Trinity House at Harwich
