Since being back in America from a 6 month absence I am astonished at how high food prices have climbed, gas is totally out of control, people are losing their homes left and right. I see the nation slip sliding back where the scales of the have'nots is far out weighing the haves. Well I have always been told the pendulum of history swings back and forth. Well, besides enjoying the beauty of my son's grapevines, I look forward to tasting their sweet juicy fruit real soon. We have apple trees, apricots, and he has a small veggie garden going. Very nice change of pace. He has created a serene little haven, considering he lives one block off a main street in a business zone, lol. My son had a dispute with the local energy monopoly today, and something about the whole situation reminded me Steinbeck's Grapes of Wrath. While wandering around outside just pondering life, the sight of these grapes brought me back down to earth, appreciating everything good in life. Hope you enjoy the image.
