I have always wanted to go to Chicago to see this neon sculpture at the O'Hare International Airport. My father worked with artist Michael Hayden on this project, designing the computer system that runs the neon sculpture. The last time I had seen it we had stretched it out in the desert behind my father's shop to test it. By the time we had it all set up and ready to test, it had become dark. While running the tests a few of the neighbors from the nearby hills had driven over to check it out, they thought a spaceship had landed! I am so glad I was finally able to see the completed work up and running. What a beautiful passageway for travelers on United.
