From the marshes close to Monterrico, Guatemala looking back East towards the Sierra Madre de Chiapas, a mountain range that consist of most of the volcanos in Guatemala. Those mountains are about 2 hours away from this spot. Its hard believing this body of water was actually connected to the ocean considering it was completely still and icy smooth.
